With a broad educational background, Dr. Nguyen graduated with her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 1997. She then went on to perform her residency in internal medicine / pediatrics at the University of Kansas Medical Center, followed by her fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), she is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, whose mission is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
